Thank you for visiting Sky High Hobbies! This site is dedicated to those rocketeers who have decided to remain young at heart. Model Products Corporation (MPC) produced model rocket kits since the late 1960’s, and stopped production in the early 1970’s. This little known company had a lot to do with the hobby of model rocketry as we know it today. Many of the kits were designed by G. Harry Stine, rightfully known as the "Father of model rocketry".
At Sky High Hobbies, not only can you purchase some of the last remaining MPC kits including some of the MPC Minirocs line-up, but you can also learn more about the history of MPC, and how this company influenced the rocketry hobby as we know it today. How is it that these kits are still available after 30 plus years? Apparently the last shipment of rocket kits never left the factory and they began an adventure that led them to now be available here, while they last.
Beyond great products, you will also find projects from My Workshop that I hope will inspire others to be creative in this hobby, and make custom projects of their own. I encourage you to send your pictures in and have created a customer project page to show off the handiwork of my friends in model rocketry.
I hope that you will enjoy building and flying these kits from yesteryear, and will relive some of your childhood memories in the process. If you are new to the hobby, building one of these vintage kits will allow you to experience the hobby as it was many years ago. In either case, I’m sure you will enjoy these unique kits!
